I too like the smell of skunk, it relaxes me. Okay, so maybe not the first whiff. But with the second intake of breath, I get very calmed. I only know of one other person who shares my admiring of this smell.
I don't know if that's how the other few people view it, but I like it.
So hooray for skunks and their self defensive smelliness!

Mary,
I cannot say that I like the smell of skunk, but do have a smell that I am not sure if anyone else likes. I love the smell of cement in a basement. I am not talking about mildew, just the cementy smell.
That is all.
Wow mary... wow. Every day you amaze me.
Mary, I LOVE the smell of skunk. Maybe I'm the person you mentioned. In that case, we have even more in common than I had previously thought.
Yup Sis. P, you are the only other person I know who enjoys the smell.
Oh, excellent. I feel better now.
Mary,
I love the smell of skunk too. It is sort of musky and lingering. I remember when we were on a camping trip when Maria was about 7 or 8 years old. We had finished reading a book outside our camper sitting at the picnic table. Maria saw the skunk rummaging in the garbage bag on the ground. I told all the children to just be still and quiet and the skunk would finish doing his investigating and would amble away. We waited about 5 minutes when all of a sudden Maria shouted, "I can't do it anymore." She leaped up on the bench and then onto the table. She startled the skunk and he/she ran away. Thank heaven it didn't shoot his/her scent, it just ran as fast as it could. Maria was a wreck but a happy wreck at that point.
Love,
Grandma Derby
